Advertisement Display & Management
The Portal Suite has an exhaustive feature set of advertisement tools to acoomodate nearly any revenue model. The systems constant improvements include some of the more advanced ads, such as, geo-targeting and tandem ads.
Banner Ad Creation. Create and display banner ads on site. Banner ads can be image-based, Flash-based, or rich-media (takeover, pop-up, peelback, etc).
Single entry to publish to multiple locations. An ad can be entered once and appear on multiple sites and/or locations on a particular site.
Video Ads. Video pre-roll ads can be created and managed in the system. In addition, companion banner ads can be designated for display with videos. These companion banner ads will display to the right of the video as it plays.
Wrapper Ads. Ads can be created to wrap the entire site or scroll up and down with the site.
Advertisement Rotation. Multiple ads can rotate within a location on the site. Rotating ads can be provided a weight to indicate how often they appear in relation to the other ads they are in rotation with.
Tandem Advertisements. Ads can be tied together so that they always appear in “tandem” on site page.
Geo-targeted Advertisements. Ads can be targeted to only appear for a particular state and/or county. A default/fallback ad can be shown in this location for visitors that do not come from the designated locations.
Advertisement Campaigns. Ad campaigns can be created to tie multiple ads together. These campaigns can be used for traffic reporting purposes and for limiting impressions for a group of ads.
Limit Ad Impressions. The option exists to limit the number of impressions served for a particular ad or ad campaign.
Publication Date. Ads can be published based on a start and end date. When their start date is reached the ad will appear. When the end date is reached, the ad will automatically come off the site.
Advertiser Management. Ads can be associated with a particular advertiser. In addition, permissions can be granted to advertisers to view traffic for their ads.
Traffic Reports. The ability exists to view ad traffic reports. Ad reports can be limited to an advertiser, an ad campaign, current active ads on the site, or customized for specific needs.
Classified Ads. Classified ads can be created and placed on the site. These ads can be given a start and an end date as well to manage when they begin and end.
News Display & Management
Have full control over your news and CMS. Whether its how or when you display your content, the portal suit has what it takes to for an enterprise level product. Additionally, we've included all the small details that make our system complete.
Publish Once. Publish articles to multiple sites and story categories at once. Stories published will automatically appear in newsletters and RSS feeds. Published stories can also automatically appear on mobile version of site.
Advertisements in Stories. Ads can be placed in stories at numerous positions using the advertisement management system (see above).
Story Templates Stories can be given a template to automatically place images, multimedia (video/audio), and slideshows at top or within the body of articles. No design is required by the author for this to happen.
RSS Feeds. Automatic creation of RSS feeds when stories are published.
Social Media. Stories automatically include hooks to allow readers to share articles via email, on Facebook, Twitter, and other popular social media sites.
Multimedia Functionality. Stories can include images, audio, video, slideshows, YouTube.com video, and files for download (e.g. spreadsheets).
Set Publication Dates. Stories are given a start and end date. They will automatically appear when the start date is reached and disappear when the end date is reached.
Editorial Review. Authors can submit stories for editors to review before publishing to the site.
Private Content. Articles can be secured so that access to them is for authorized members only.
Smart URL Creation. Stories automatically create “smart urls” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rewrite_engine) for help with search-engine optimization (SEO).
Preview before publish. Authors and editors can preview stories on site before they are published.
Story Comments. Site visitors can comment on stories. Comments can be configured to only registered site members, any site visitor, and can require captcha (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Captcha) to submit comments. Authors can respond to comments on stories in-line with the discussion.
Comment Management. Editors can delete inappropriate comments or review them before release to the site.
Story Search. Google site search functionality exists to find stories within the site.
Story Archives. A story archives page automatically created and maintained as stories are published.
Most Read. The site will show the most read stories by day, week, and month.
Twitter Tie-In. If your authors have a Twitter account, their latest Twitter posts and the ability to follow them on Twitter will automatically appear with each article.
Printer-friendly Format. Stories can be printed in a printer-friendly format.
Newsletter Management
Email newsletters have been shown to be the most profitable and user-friendly form of marketing and user-correspondence. We've built in all the features necessary to take advantage of this and comply industry anti-spam practices.
Scheduled Send. Newsletters can be scheduled to send one-time, daily, once per week, multiple times per week, once per month, or multiple times per month at a given time of day.
Advertisements in Newsletter. Ads can be placed in newsletters at numerous positions using the advertisement management system (see above).
Content Integration. Include content such as news, weather, and commodity quotes in your newsletter.
Templates. Each newsletter can have a custom look and feel based on its template.
Personalized Content. Personalize newsletter content to site members by location.
Attach Files. Include file attachments with newsletter.
Header and Footer. Newsletters can be customized by providing a customized header and footer.
Set Layout. The layout of newsletters can be customized by adding modules such as quotes, weather, as well as custom created content.
Set Distribution Dates. The start and end date for newsletter distribution can be specified.
Group Distribution. Send newsletter to one or more group of site members.
Opt-out. Newsletters will include a link for recipients to opt-out.
Online Version. Recipients that cannot view the newsletter in their email client are automatically provided with a link to view the newsletter in the web browser.
SMTP Specification. Newsletters can be sent from any SMTP server specified. Newsletters can also specify the from address for the newsletter.
Testing Capability. Before sending to a group, the functionality exists to send a test message to an email address and/or preview the newsletter in a web browser.
Text-message Automation
The advent of the smart-phone has left text-messaging as the little brother of cell phone communication. The fact is the majority of users still use the previous generation of phones and text-messaging is a convenient method of reaching that majority in addition to the growing next generation phones.
Custom Messages Send custom text-messages to member groups.
Message Tagline. Create a promotional advertisement to be prefixed to text-messages sent for your site.
Commodity Alerts. Members can sign up to receive commodity quotes alerts via text-message. Alerts can be either scheduled at certain times of the day, send when a strike price is reached, or requested on demand.
Podcast Management
The podcasting features built into the Portal Suite is top-of-the-line technology and integration. The audio files can be integrated throughout the system as well as allowing external distribution to iTunes and RSS feeds.

Site Membership & Administration
User access control and tracking is an important aspect for every enterprice-level website and the Portal Suite is built to just that. You can control everyone from adminitrators and customers access levels.
Member Registration. Visitors can register for the site via a site registration page.
Account Maintenance. Members of the site can manage their account information and text message alerts in an account settings page.
Site Login. Members can login to the site via the site login page. If a member has forgotten their password, they can request to have it sent to their email address associated with the account.
Membership Management. Site administrators can search for members by name, phone, email and other criteria. They can also update existing site members, create new site members, or inactive existing site members.
Export Members. The site membership list can be exported to an Excel spreadsheet.
Import Members. Members can be created by uploading an Excel spreadsheet.
Group Management. Membership groups can be created, updated and removed by administrators.
Administrator Management. Site administrators can be created, updated, and deleting. Administrators can be granted permission to only specific sites, administrative tools, and blogs. Administrators can be designated as an editor or a general author.

Display Optimization. The mobile site is optimized for display on flip-phones as well as smart phones such as iPhone and Blackberry.
Mobile Redirection. If a mobile device requests your desktop-based site, it will be automatically redirected to the mobile version of the site.
Device Detection. The mobile site will detect what kind of phone is requesting the site and display the appropriate version, smartphone or standard.
